New couple alert? Not so fast. Selena Gomez was spotted holding hands with DJ Zedd at a 2015 Golden Globes afterparty on Sunday, Jan. 11, but a source tells Us Weekly they’re just friends.

“They are working together on her new album, so yeah, they have become close,” an insider explains to Us of their relationship. “It’s nothing but a close friendship so far.”

The duo have been busy working together in the studio. Just four days ago Zedd, 25, shared an Instagram of Gomez, 22, goofing around an office. “@selenagomez likes Johnny from “The Room”…a lot!” he captioned a snap of her pretending to kiss a bobble doll of Tommy Wiseau’s character from the 2003 flick.

The insider tells Us that Gomez recently signed with Zedd’s label, Interscope Records, and Zedd is producing multiple tracks off her upcoming 2015 album. Zedd’s worked with artists including Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, whom he collaborated with on massive hit “Break Free.”

As the world is well aware, Gomez has been dating Justin Bieber on and off since 2010.
